A Good Walk Spoiled Foundation supports IVCA Scholars

July 5, 2017

On Monday, June 26th A Good Walk Spoiled Foundation, a 501(C)3 hosted a golf invitational benefitting The IVCA Scholars Program and The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Organized by IVCA Chair, Walter Florence, the event gathered 150 members of the Private Equity and Venture Capital community to support 2 good causes.
Almost 150 golfers joined for lunch and few words from Exelon Chief Investment Officer Doug Brown before heading out to the links. Brown discussed Exelon’s investment success resulting from finding funds that have a demonstrated commitment to hiring and promoting under-represented minorities in venture and private equity.

The group also heard from past IVCA Scholar Cass Gunderson who is now an Associate at ParkerGale.
A heartfelt “thank you” to Walter Florence who almost single-handedly planned and organized the event.

IVCA Scholar proceeds will be used to defray IVCA’s portion of the IVCA Scholarships for summer 2017.

Special Thanks to IVCA members and event sponsors:
