CHICAGO – On Oct. 5, 30 IVCA members attended a panel discussion on how venture capital and private equity firms are coping with the onerous requirements of the Illinois Sudan Act. Discussions included meeting requirements, reporting on current funds and an update on the NFTC lawsuit.

The discussion was moderated by former board member for Illinois TRS Tony Abboud of Greenberg Traurig. Panelists included Bruce Ettelson of Kirkland & Ellis; Mike Rosenthal of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal; and Malcolm Nicholls of Proskauer Rose.
