LESTER B. KNIGHT is a Founding Partner and Co-Chairman of RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry. Since its inception in 2001, RoundTable’s performance has earned it a place in the top quartile of returns to investors for private equity buyout firms.

Mr. Knight has 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He served as Vice Chairman of Cardinal Health following the merger of Allegiance Corporation and Cardinal Health in 1999. Prior to the merger, Mr. Knight was Chairman of the Board and CEO of Allegiance, a multibillion-dollar spin-off in 1996 from Baxter International, Inc. Mr. Knight spent 16 years at Baxter where he was Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Knight was elected Chairman of the Board of Aon Corporation in 2008 having served on the board since 1997. During this time, he chaired the Finance Committee and was a member of the Executive and the Organization and Compensation Committees.

Mr. Knight also serves on the Northwestern University Board of Trustees having been elected in June, 1998. As a trustee, he chairs the Committee on Technology Transfer and Business Development and is a member of the Executive Committee.

Additionally, Mr. Knight holds other board positions at NorthShore University HealthSystem, Junior Achievement of Chicago, and the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed). He is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago, the Civic Committee of The Commercial Club of Chicago, and a Trustee of the Knight Family Foundation.

Mr. Knight holds a bachelor’s degree (’80) in industrial engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree (’81) in business from the Cornell Johnson School of Management.
