LiftSeat® Corporation develops, manufactures and markets
patient handling technology. Our products will help the 15
million people suffering from medical conditions affecting
body strength, balance and mobility. The Company’s vision
is to become a leading provider of high quality, safe,
competitively priced “non-manual” lifting technology for the
institutional and home health markets. The Company
generated $35K in top line revenue in 2007 and anticipates
revenue growth to $1M in 2008.

The manual lifting and time requirements of helping elderly,
sick or disabled people onto and off the toilet creates an
expensive operational problem for the US health care industry.
The problem also prevents people from living independently at
home. This problem is compounded with issues such as:
nursing shortages, cost of Workers’ Compensation claims,
high incidence of patient falls while toileting, guilt of not being
able to help a parent, and the high cost of moving from the
home to assisted care.

The LiftSeat® is a motorized toilet-specific lift helping patients
onto and off the toilet by removing the strength required to
perform this common task. The LiftSeat combines technology,
biomechanic and kinematic research, and extensive customer
feedback into an easy-to-use, reliable solution to the frequent,
labor-intensive task of supporting human toileting needs. The
product precisely replicates and supports human movement
during the process of standing and sitting and then rising
creating modified independence allowing the user to regain
toileting independence. The product is ETL listed and patent
development has resulted in two patents pending. Production
inventory is available.

The company continues to establish sales channel partnerships
with distributors and dealers across four segments: long term
care, acute care, home care, and international. Contracts are
in place with twelve health care distributors and growing weekly.
Our initial push in the long-term care industry landed the
Company a distribution agreement with the largest eldercare
equipment distributor in the United States – Direct Supply, Inc.
A comprehensive marketing communications program will
support our distributors with a full range of print, video, and
online resources, along with a targeted public relations effort.

The Company contract manufactures all components in the
US, receives components for quality control and performs
light assembly of final product in Lombard, IL. The product
is sold wholesale to medical distribution channels and
drop-shipped directly to the customer. End user customer’s
then assemble and install the final product. Distributors and
customers are supported via customer service department,
video installation instructions and web / video-based training
tools.

The US institutional product category of powerized toilet
lifts is being created by LiftSeat. The Solo toilet lift from the
UK is a competitive product and is our main competitor.
This product is not marketed into US healthcare facilities. A
few other small companies exist with awkward products not
3rd party safety approved. Indirect products such as
stand-to-sit and overhead lifts (not intended for our target
patient) or substitute products such as manual lifting,
toilet-seat riser or grab-bars comprise the competitive
landscape. LiftSeat has now captured first-mover advantage
in the institutional market and competes by proprietary
design and a low cost to manufacture.
