Nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 IVCA Portfolio Company of the Year Awards!

IVCA is seeking portfolio company nominations for our 2015 Awards presentation to be held on December 7th, 2015.

Portfolio companies nominations should be based on companies that:

  • Are headquartered in Illinois;
  • Are PE and/or VC backed; and
  • Have had a realized liquidity event in 2014 or 2015 and has clear, recognizable metrics of success (see further explanation below.)

Begun in 2010, The Portfolio Company of the Year Award recognizes a venture capital-backed and a private equity-backed company based on the following criteria:

  • An Illinois-headquartered company, VC/PE backed, which had a realized liquidity event in 2014 or 2015 and has clear, recognizable metrics of success
  • Examples of a great outcome might include:
      • Great returns to investors
      • Speed to achieve key milestones
      • Impressive revenue growth
      • Impressive net growth
      • Impressive employment growth
      • Introduced a key and impactful technology
      • Turnaround Story
