New Coworking Space in Springfield, Illinois - Coterra Opens Downtown

October 27, 2015

SPRINGFIELD, IL --  Looking to provide a collaborative and professional office environment for entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, lobbyists and professionals, Coterra has opened its doors in the historic Kerasotes Building across from the Old State Capitol in Downtown Springfield.

The coworking/flex-office space, which provides occasional, as-needed work space, is located on the 3rd floor at 104 N. 6th Street and is approximately 2,750 sq. ft. in size.  The site includes two general work areas, one private office, one semi-private office and a conference room. WiFi/internet and printing/copy/fax services are included along with complimentary coffee, soft drinks and water. Coterra is two blocks east of the Amtrak station, with covered parking nearby, and is two blocks away from two of the larger downtown hotels.

"Coworking has been growing as an alternative way for people to work and collaborate, while the flex-office concept gives people an environment in which they can be productive, but who don't need or want a 24/7 office," said Scott Troehler, president and executive producer of Monticello Media, which hosts the site.

Monthly, weekly and daily rates are available, along with six and 12 month memberships.  Payment accepted via credit card online and at the site.

To raise additional funding for tech, furniture and additional items, a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform was launched (http://igg.me/at/coterraworks/x/1087305).  It concludes on November 4, 2015.
