Upon acquiring Chicago-based Cleversafe, a leading developer and manufacturer of object-based storage software and appliances, in October, 2015 IBM that the acquisition would strengthen IBM’s leadership positions in storage and hybrid cloud and support clients’ drive to next generation mobile, social and analytics applications. According to IBM, “the Cleversafe portfolio will allow IBM Cloud business unit to give clients’ strategic data flexibility, simplified management, and consistency with on-premise, cloud, and hybrid cloud deployment options.”
On April 13th IVCA will investigate the behind-the-scenes story of building a great company in Chicago by bringing together some of the key players responsible for Cleversafe’s 10 year rise from an idea to an industry leading company.  We will discuss the company’s progress at each round of financing and how the proceeds were used to move toward establishing an industry leading company.
