IVCA is seeking portfolio company nominations for our 2016 Awards presentation to be held on December 5th, 2016.

Portfolio company nominations should be based on companies that:

• Are headquartered in Illinois;
• Are PE and/or VC backed; and
• Have had a realized liquidity event in 2015 or 2016 and has clear, recognizable metrics of success (see further explanation below.)

Begun in 2010, The Portfolio Company of the Year Award recognizes a venture capital-backed and a private equity-backed company based on the following criteria:

• An Illinois-headquartered company, VC/PE backed, which had a realized liquidity event in 2014 or 2015 and has clear, recognizable metrics of success
• Examples of a great outcome might include:
  • Great returns to investors
  • Speed to achieve key milestones
  • Impressive revenue growth
  • Impressive net growth
  • Impressive employment growth
  • Introduced a key and impactful technology
  • Turnaround Story

While specific details are required for our voting process, IVCA will not publish information the company or firm deem confidential.
