IVCA Honors 2016 Awardees at December 5th Dinner

IVCA celebrated the accomplished careers of Paul Carbone, Pritzker Group Private Capital and Ellen Rudnick, Polsky Center, Chicago Booth, and recognized the successes of our Portfolio Companies of the Year, Cleversafe (now known as IBM Cloud Object Storage) and Sage Products at our Annual Awards Dinner, sponsored by Kirkland & Ellis LLP, on December 5th at The Four Seasons.

More than 400 people enjoyed the evening which included a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and the Awards presentation, and closing with the Dessert Reception, sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP.  Emceed by Walter Florence, incoming IVCA Chairman, the program featured the presentation of four Awards.

The awards presented were:

  • Stanley C. Golder Award which acknowledges individuals who have made profound and lasting contributions to the private equity industry in Illinois.
  • Richard J. Daley Award which acknowledges a single individual who has given direct and extraordinary support to the State of Illinois by participating in or being an advocate for the venture capital and private equity industry.
  • The Portfolio Companies of the Year are issued to 2 companies, a venture capital-backed and a private equity backed IL company based on a realized liquidity event (in 2015 or 2016) which was a successful exit for investors.
