Timothy Castelli (Chicago) Promoted to Position of Counsel in the Firm’s Private Equity Practice Group

Global law firm Ropes & Gray has promoted Timothy Castelli (Chicago) to the position of counsel in the firm’s private equity practice group. Tim advises private equity firms, their portfolio companies, and other public and private companies on a variety of complex acquisition, sale, financing, and restructuring transactions. Tim also regularly advises clients in connection with general corporate governance matters and management compensation and equity arrangements. He has represented companies and investors in transactions in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare, life sciences, information technology, business services, manufacturing, distribution and financial services. Recent deals he has worked on include representing Baring Private Equity Asia in its $3.55 billion acquisition (with Onex Corp.) of the Intellectual Property & Science business of Thomson Reuters, and MUFG Investor Services (an arm of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group) in its acquisition of Guggenheim  Investments’ 1940-Act mutual fund administration business, Rydex Fund Services.
 
Tim regularly represents Cressey & Company, Pfingsten Partners, Baring Private Equity Asia, Gauge Capital LLC and Mitsubishi Bank.
