Update Your Personal, Firm Profiles at IllinoisVC.org

September 25, 2006

CHICAGO - “ As you may have noticed, the IVCA has significantly upgraded its Web site. A key feature of the new site is that members can now view and update personal profiles and, if you are the primary contact for the IVCA, your firm's profile as well.

This information will be used for the - œsearch- function available to the public and members to identify both investors and service firms that meet specific criteria. Please take a few minutes to update your profile by logging into the members' only area of the Web site.

The site offers additional important benefits to IVCA members. In addition to updating your profile, members see a calendar of upcoming IVCA events, register and pay for these events online and can view a personalized calendar. The calendar will also display IVCA committee meeting dates and creates committee - œworkspaces- to allow committee members to chat, share files and post information.

Through an in-depth investor search function that can search up to nine investment criteria, the site is designed to increase member deal syndication and in each other's transactions. This search criteria is also used on the public site to help entreprenuers find both professional service firms and equity investors, which should result in additional new business and deal flow.

The site also includes a career center that permits members to share information on job postings for their firms and portfolio companies and to nominate attractive job candidates for consideration by other members. The site also houses information on the IVCA's political action committee (PAC) and has space for research reports, studies and other resources of interest to IVCA members.

The site was redesigned by Canright & Paule with a robust back-end database and functionality developed by Orbit Media Studios. It reflects the input of more than 30 IVCA members through  surveys and focus groups completed last and earlier this year.
